Torn From the Grave
Torn From the Grave is a compilation by the American death metal band Autopsy, released through Peaceville in 2001. It arrived in the gap between the band's mid-1990s output and their return to studio recording, collecting material from an act whose early run of albums had begun with Severed Survival in 1989 and continued through Mental Funeral, Acts of the Unspeakable and Shitfun.
Chronicles of Chaos gave the record a rating of eight. For anyone who knows Autopsy only by reputation, a compilation like this offers a handy way into their grim, heavy sound before moving on to the studio albums, which resumed with Macabre Eternal in 2011 and have continued ever since.
