Back and Forth, Series Two
Back and Forth, Series Two is a compilation from Skinny Puppy, released on 13 October 1992 through Nettwerk. It takes the whole of the Back and Forth release and remixes it from the original four-track tapes, then adds raw live recordings and studio rarities to the mix.
For anyone tracing the Vancouver band's story, it is a chance to hear their earliest material in a rougher, more exposed form. Back and Forth was where their discography began in 1984, and this set returns to that starting point as they were moving on from Last Rights, the studio album of the same year. Its blend of electronic, experimental and industrial sounds makes it a useful companion for fans who want to hear how the band's methods took shape.
