Bites
Bites is the first full-length studio album by Skinny Puppy, the Canadian industrial band. It came out in 1985 on Nettwerk as an LP, and it was their second major release overall, following on from the Remission record. Steven R. Gilmore designed the cover art.
The album sits near the start of a run that would take the band through more than a dozen studio records, so it is a useful place to hear them in their early days, working in industrial and electronic territory. A CD reissue appeared in 1993 with extra material gathered from cassette releases, international editions and tracks that had not been widely available before, which makes that version a fuller picture of the period. Music Canada certified the album gold in 1994.
