Album
Cleanse Fold and Manipulate
Cleanse Fold and Manipulate is the third studio album by Skinny Puppy, the Canadian electro-industrial group. It came out on 25 June 1987 and sits in the middle of their run of 1980s records, after Mind: The Perpetual Intercourse in 1986 and ahead of VIVIsectVI in 1988.
The album was backed by the single "Addiction" and by the Head Trauma tour, which took the band across North America and Europe. A recording of them playing in Toronto, Ain't it Dead Yet?, later appeared on video in 1989 and on CD in 1991, so it is worth hearing alongside this record if you want to know how the material came across on stage. For anyone exploring the experimental, electronic end of industrial music, this is a key stop in the band's story.
