The Singles Collect
The Singles Collect is a compilation from the Canadian electro-industrial band Skinny Puppy, released on 16 November 1999 through Nettwerk America. It gathers the singles Nettwerk issued before the band moved to American Recordings and later broke up, along with a few promotional singles and alternate mixes.
For anyone coming to Skinny Puppy's catalogue, it works as a tidy overview of their output on the Nettwerk label, drawing from the industrial, electronic and experimental sound that runs through their studio albums from Back and Forth in 1984 to The Process in 1996. Look closely at the back cover and you will spot a small slip: track eight, "Spasmolytic", is printed as "Spamsmolytic".
