Extra, Volume 3
Extra, Volume 3 is a double-disc rarities collection from the industrial rock band KMFDM, released in October 2008 on Metropolis Records. It closes a three-volume series gathering tracks that never made it onto any of the ten KMFDM Classic albums, so it works as a companion for listeners who already know the main run of records.
The set sits outside the band's studio catalogue, which stretches from Opium in 1984 to the Tohuvabohu album of 2007, with Skold vs. KMFDM and Blitz arriving the year after this release. For anyone wanting to follow the band beyond the regular albums, it offers two discs of material from the margins. One detail for collectors: the song "Material Girl" is absent here and has never been re-released in any other format.
