Don’t Blow Your Top
Don't Blow Your Top is a studio album by the German industrial band KMFDM, released on 13 March 1988. It was issued by Skysaw Records, though the catalogue lists Cashbeat as the label. Its sound mixes industrial rock with funk, alternative rock, techno and electronic elements, which gives it a more varied palette than the genre tag alone suggests.
Within the band's story, it follows Opium and What Do You Know, Deutschland?, and comes before UAIOE in 1989. It is also the second and last album to feature Raymond Watts as a member, though he rejoined KMFDM on several separate occasions in the 1990s and 2000s. A remastered edition appeared on 12 September 2006, with new liner notes and band photos. It is worth hearing for the band at a transitional point.
