KMFDM Retro 1998
Album · Compilation
Retro
Retro is a compilation from the industrial band KMFDM, gathering a selection of their better-liked songs in one place. The title is stylised as RETЯO, with the reversed R that suits the band's taste for graphic play.
It first appeared in 1996 as a promotional item, before reaching the public in 1998, with a US release on 17 November 1998 through Wax Trax! Records. That puts it in the middle of the band's busiest stretch, after Xtort and [symbols] and just ahead of Adios. For anyone coming to KMFDM without knowing which of their many albums to try first, it offers a handy sampler of their sound before you pick a studio record to dig into.
