Same Difference
Same Difference is the fifth studio album by Swedish band Entombed, released on 16 November 1998 through Music for Nations. It follows 1997's DCLXVI: To Ride, Shoot Straight and Speak the Truth and comes before Uprising in 2000. Its mix of death metal and alternative metal pushes the band towards a more commercial sound.
It is also a record of change. Drummer Nicke Andersson, an original member and the band's primary songwriter, had left to concentrate on his side project The Hellacopters, so this was the first Entombed album made without him. Fans have generally ranked it as the band's weakest moment, and former vocalist LG Petrov shares that view. That makes it a useful listen for anyone tracing how the group's direction shifted, and for hearing the band after Andersson's departure.
