Skold vs. KMFDM
Skold vs. KMFDM is a collaboration between KMFDM's Sascha Konietzko and Tim Sköld, released on 24 February 2009. It sits between Tohuvabohu and Blitz in the band's run of studio albums, and it is a record built around partnership rather than the usual band line-up.
The album holds 11 different songs, each given in two forms: the full original and a shorter "interlude" version. That doubling makes it an unusual listen, and it is worth hearing for the way the same material is stretched out and then pared back. It first appeared through the KMFDM Store alone, and has since turned up as a download elsewhere, without the interludes. Kevin Marburg, formerly of Diatribe and SKOLD, painted the cover artwork.
