In the Arms of God
In the Arms of God is the seventh studio album by American heavy metal band Corrosion of Conformity, released on 5 April 2005 on Mayan Records. It follows 2000's America's Volume Dealer and sits at a turning point in the band's story, as the last record to feature Pepper Keenan on vocals and guitar before his return for 2018's No Cross No Crown.
The record has a few interesting threads running through it. Stanton Moore of Galactic played drums on the album. Two of its songs had been heard in earlier forms: an early version of "World on Fire" turned up on the Japanese edition of America's Volume Dealer, while an early "It Is That Way" appeared in 2004 on the compilation High Volume: The Stoner Rock Collection. Worth hearing for fans following the band's Keenan-era run.
