Corrosion of Conformity

Corrosion of Conformity formed in Raleigh, North Carolina, in 1982 as a hardcore punk band. Over the years they slowed down and moved towards a blues-tinged heavy metal sound, drifting through stoner rock and alternative metal along the way. Guitarist Woody Weatherman is the one constant in a line-up that has changed often. The version many fans think of as the classic one pairs him with bassist Mike Dean, drummer Reed Mullin and vocalist and rhythm guitarist Pepper Keenan, who joined in 1989.

Their early records, Eye for an Eye, Animosity and Blind, caught the attention of Columbia Records, who signed them in 1993. Deliverance followed in 1994, bringing the songs "Albatross" and "Clean My Wounds", and Wiseblood built on it in 1996. No Cross No Crown, from 2018, became their first top 100 entry on the Billboard 200. Their eleventh album, Good God / Baad Man, arrived in 2026.
