Twisted Wires & The Acoustic Sessions
Twisted Wires & The Acoustic Sessions is the ninth studio album by American hard rock band Tesla, released on 12 July 2011 through Scarlet Records. It sits between Forever More (2008) and Simplicity (2014) in the band's catalogue, and it takes the acoustic route rather than plugging in once more.
The record pairs two new songs, "2nd Street" and "Better Off Without You", with fresh recordings of ten tracks the band had put out before. Five of those were captured in 2005 with Tommy Skeoch on rhythm guitar, which gives the set an extra point of interest for anyone who followed the band's earlier line-ups. If you know Tesla for their electric side, this is a chance to hear familiar songs stripped back and reconsidered.
