Who’s Last
Who's Last is a live album from the Who, released in 1984 on MCA Records. It was their second concert record, taken from shows recorded in 1982 on what was billed at the time as the band's farewell tour.
That context shapes where it sits in their story. It followed the studio albums Face Dances in 1981 and It's Hard in 1982, and it was meant to be the final word from the band. For anyone who knows the Who through their studio work from My Generation to Quadrophenia, it offers a different angle: the group on stage during what was meant to be their last run of dates, closing a chapter that, as it turned out, wasn't the end after all.
