Down to Earth is the fourth studio album by the British hard rock band Rainbow, released in August 1979 on Polydor. It arrived after Long Live Rock 'n' Roll and brought a lot of change. Bassist Roger Glover and keyboardist Don Airey joined for the first time, Graham Bonnet sang on it as his only Rainbow record, and it was the last to feature drummer Cozy Powell. It was also the only Rainbow album made by an entirely British line-up.

The record is where the band turned towards a more commercial sound, and it gave them their first hit single in "Since You Been Gone". If you know Rainbow mainly for their earlier work, this is the album that shows how far they were willing to shift, and it stands apart in their catalogue for its one-off line-up.
