Album
Bent Out of Shape
Bent Out of Shape is the seventh studio album by Rainbow, the English hard rock band, and it came out on Polydor in September 1983. It was recorded at Sweet Silence Studios in Copenhagen. It followed Straight Between the Eyes from the year before, and it turned out to be the last Rainbow album for well over a decade, until Stranger in Us All appeared in 1995.
The album was issued on LP and cassette, and the two formats differ a little. The cassette carries several longer edits of the material, so anyone who first knew the record on tape may remember a slightly different version from the vinyl. It is worth hearing as the closing chapter of Rainbow's original run, and as a record that sits at the end of a line of hard rock albums stretching back to 1975.
