Catch the Rainbow: The Anthology
Catch the Rainbow: The Anthology is a compilation from the British hard rock band Rainbow, released by Polydor on 18 March 2003. It gathers material from a group whose catalogue ran across eight studio albums, from Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow in 1975 through to Stranger in Us All in 1995.
For anyone coming to the band afresh, or wanting to revisit them without picking through every record, a collection like this offers a route into that long stretch of work. It takes in the early run of Rising, Long Live Rock 'n' Roll and Down to Earth, as well as the 1980s albums Difficult to Cure, Straight Between the Eyes and Bent Out of Shape, all of which sit within the story the set follows.
