Scars of the Crucifix

Popularity46.1

Scars of the Crucifix is the seventh studio album by the American death metal band Deicide, released on 23 February 2004. It was their first record for Earache Records, following In Torment in Hell in 2001, and it arrived at a point where the band had spent well over a decade building their name in the genre.

The album is also the last to feature Deicide's full original line-up. The Hoffman brothers left shortly afterwards, closing a 17-year stretch with the group. Anyone tracing the band's story from their 1990 debut onwards will want to hear it as the final chapter of that first era, just before The Stench of Redemption in 2006 opened a new one.
