Amon: Feasting the Beast
Amon: Feasting the Beast is a compilation from the Florida death metal band Deicide, released by Roadrunner Records in 1993. It gathers the two demos the group recorded under their earlier name, Amon, before they became Deicide.
It sits between the band's second studio album, Legion, from 1992, and Once Upon the Cross, which followed in 1995. For anyone who knows Deicide only through their debut and the records that came after it, this is a chance to hear where the band began, when they were still going by a different name. It is a useful companion piece for fans who want the full story of one of Florida's best-known death metal acts.
