Banished by Sin
Banished by Sin is the thirteenth studio album by the American death metal band Deicide. It came out on 26 April 2024 through Reigning Phoenix Music, following Overtures of Blasphemy from 2018, and it extends a run of studio records that stretches back to their self-titled debut in 1990.
The record matters for its line-up. It is the first to feature guitarist Taylor Nordberg, who joined in 2022, and the last to feature Kevin Quirion, who left the band in 2025. That makes it a snapshot of a particular guitar pairing in the group's long story. For anyone who has followed Deicide since the early days, it is a chance to hear how the band sounded in this latest chapter.
