Temples of Ice is the seventh studio album by Venom, the English band behind Welcome to Hell and Black Metal. It came out in June 1991 on Under One Flag, with Music for Nations handling marketing and distribution. Its sound draws on heavy metal, black metal, speed metal and thrash metal, the mix you would expect from a band that helped define the rougher edges of the genre.

The record sits between Prime Evil (1989) and The Waste Lands (1992). Howard Benson, formerly of Child's Play, was originally lined up to produce, but he was unavailable. Venom stayed with Kevin Ridley, who had co-produced Prime Evil, so the album carries on that working partnership. It is worth hearing for anyone following the band's story through the years after their early 1980s breakthrough.
