Diary of a Mad Band: Europe in the Year of VI
Diary of a Mad Band: Europe in the Year of VI is a live album from Down, the sludge and Southern metal band, released on 5 October 2010 by Roadrunner Records. It came out as a CD and DVD package, which makes it as much a document of the band on the road as a straightforward concert recording.
It sits after the band's third studio album, Down III: Over the Under, and it is the last Down record to feature Rex Brown on bass. That alone makes it a useful marker for anyone following the group's line-up story, and a fair pick if you want to hear the heavy, groove-laden side of Down in a live setting.
