Live at Brixton
Live at Brixton is Mastodon's second live album, a progressive and sludge metal set issued through Reprise Records on 10 December 2013. It first appeared as a digital-only release, then reached record shops on vinyl on 19 April 2014 as a Record Store Day exclusive.
It arrived between The Hunter, from 2011, and Once More 'Round the Sun, which followed in 2014, so it catches the band at a point when their studio catalogue already stretched back to Remission in 2002. For anyone who knows Mastodon mainly from Leviathan, Blood Mountain or Crack the Skye, it offers a way to hear that material played live. The vinyl pressing also makes it a neat find for collectors who like their live records on a platter.
