To Heaven From Hell
To Heaven From Hell is an EP from the British heavy metal band Diamond Head, released in 1997 on Metal Blade Records. It gathers early demos recorded before their debut album, Lightning to the Nations, appeared in 1980. Every track on it had already turned up on 1982's Borrowed Time, but here they arrive in their earlier, unvarnished forms.
That difference is the appeal. These versions show how the band first imagined the songs, before MCA tried to give Diamond Head a more commercial sheen. Many sound noticeably rawer than the Borrowed Time recordings, so fans who know that album well will enjoy hearing the material with its edges left on.
