Diamond Head
Diamond Head's self-titled album is the seventh studio record from the British heavy metal band, released on 22 April 2016. It arrived after a long career that began with Lightning to the Nations in 1980 and took in Borrowed Time, Canterbury, Death & Progress, All Will Be Revealed and What's in Your Head?, and it was followed by The Coffin Train in 2019.
The big change here is at the microphone, as this is the first Diamond Head album to feature Rasmus Bom Andersen as lead vocalist. That alone makes it a useful marker in the band's story, a fresh voice fronting a group that had already been going for decades. It climbed to number 15 on the UK Rock & Metal Albums Chart, and it's worth hearing for anyone curious how the band sounded in its new line-up.
