Behold the Beginning
Behold the Beginning is a compilation from the heavy metal band Diamond Head, released in 1986 on Metal Masters. It arrived after the poor reception of Canterbury and the group's break-up, and it looks back to where the band began rather than forward.
Most of the tracks come from their first album, Lightning to the Nations, alongside the non-album single "Waited Too Long" and its B-side "Play It Loud". Guitarist Brian Tatler remixed the material, so these early songs get a fresh sound. It is a handy way into the band's formative years, and it was reissued on CD by Heavy Metal Records in 1991.
