The Best of Candlebox
The Best of Candlebox is a compilation from the Seattle rock band, released on 23 May 2006 through Rhino. It gathers songs from their first three albums, Candlebox, Lucy and Happy Pills, and adds "Glowing Soul", which first appeared on the soundtrack to The Waterboy.
It also marks a turning point in the band's story. The label's decision to put out a best-of collection led to the group being contacted, and that in turn brought them back together after a seven-year hiatus. They toured in support of the compilation, and soon afterwards recorded Into the Sun, their first studio album in a decade. If you want the early alternative rock years in one place, and a handy way into the band's later chapters, this is the place to start.
