Candlebox

Candlebox are a rock band from Seattle, Washington, who formed in 1990 and have been active in one form or another ever since. Their sound sits in the post-grunge corner of alternative rock, and they are often mentioned alongside Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots and Alice in Chains by listeners who enjoy that era.

Their self-titled debut arrived in July 1993 and found success straight away. It spawned four singles, "Change", "You", "Far Behind" and "Cover Me", with "Far Behind" reaching the top 20, and the album went quadruple platinum in the US. Lucy followed in 1995 and Happy Pills in 1998. Trouble with their record company led to a split in 2000, but they reunited in 2006 and returned with Into the Sun in 2008. Several more albums have followed, most recently The Long Goodbye in 2023.
