Live
Live is a concert album from The Black Crowes, released on 20 August 2002 on V2. It was produced by guitarist Rich Robinson and captured at the Orpheum in Boston, Massachusetts, over two nights on 30 and 31 October 2001.
Those shows came at a turning point. They were the band's last two before a hiatus that lasted a few years, and they followed the release of Lions in 2001. The record is a blues rock set, and it offers a snapshot of the group at the close of their first long run, which began with Shake Your Money Maker in 1990. For anyone who knows the studio albums, it is a chance to hear how the band sounded on stage as that chapter ended.
