Cannibal
Cannibal is the fifth studio album by American industrial metal band Static-X, released in April 2007 on Warner Bros. Records. It follows Start a War from 2005 and comes before Cult of Static in 2009, so it sits right in the middle of the band's run of studio records.
It was a record of firsts for the group. John Travis produced it, taking over from Ulrich Wild, who had worked on the first four albums as producer and/or mixer. It is also the first Static-X album with guitar solos, which appear on every track except "Goat". At 37 minutes it is the band's shortest album, so it moves along briskly. Fans of their alternative and industrial metal sound will find it worth hearing to catch the band trying something new.
