State of the World Address
State of the World Address is the third studio album by Biohazard, released on 24 May 1994 through Warner Bros. Records. It follows Biohazard (1990) and Urban Discipline (1992) in the band's run of albums, and sits on the line where hardcore punk, metal and rap-tinged heaviness meet, which is the mix the American band built its name on.
Sen Dog guests on "How It Is", while "Lack There Of" uses audio samples from Quentin Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs. The record also marks the end of an era in the line-up: it was the last album with guitarist Bobby Hambel until Reborn in Defiance in 2012, as he left after the touring cycle over musical differences. That makes it a useful snapshot of the band at a particular moment, and a good place to start if you like your hardcore with a metal edge.
