www.pitchshifter.com is the fourth album by the British industrial metal band Pitchshifter, released on 2 March 1998. It followed Infotainment? from 1996 and was the band's first record on a major label, with Geffen handling the UK release and DGC the American one. The title came from the band's own domain name, which was still a novelty in those days. Years later the registration was allowed to lapse, and JS Clayden said that carrying the site for so long had made letting it go feel like a burden lifted.
It's a record that mixes industrial metal with electronic and breakbeat leanings, touching on digital hardcore too. It found a bigger audience in the US, selling just over 60,000 copies there. Several of its songs also turned up in the vehicle-based PlayStation games Twisted Metal III and Test Drive 5, which is a fitting home for music this driving.
