Meantime
Meantime is the second studio album by American alternative metal band Helmet, and their first for a major label. It came out on 23 June 1992 through Interscope Records, following their 1990 debut Strap It On and preceding Betty in 1994.
It was a modest seller at first, reaching number 68 on the Billboard 200, but its reputation grew steadily. It went gold in the US in 1994 and has since sold over 2 million copies worldwide. Critics have rated it well, and it is regarded as an influential record in metal, with a number of bands following in its wake. Lead single "Unsung" charted on the US Modern Rock Tracks listing and remains the band's best-known song. Videos were also made for "Give It" and "In the Meantime", both worth seeking out alongside it.
