Masterpeace
Masterpeace is the sixth studio album by American heavy metal band Metal Church, released on 22 July 1999. It followed Hanging in the Balance from 1993 and marked the return of vocalist David Wayne, who had been absent since The Dark in 1986. It would prove to be the last studio album he made with the band before his death in May 2005.
Most of the original members took part in the recording, with the exceptions of guitarist Craig Wells and drummer Kirk Arrington. Jeff Wade stepped in behind the kit, both in the studio and on tour. The sleeve also brings back the cruciform Gibson Explorer, an image last seen on the band's 1984 debut. For anyone who loved the early Metal Church sound, hearing Wayne back at the microphone is the main draw here.
