Spunk
Spunk is a bootleg collection of demos by the Sex Pistols, first issued in the UK in 1977. It gathers studio recordings and snatches of chat made with Dave Goodman during 1976 and early 1977, when Glen Matlock was still the band's bass player.
That makes it a rough sketchbook for their only studio album of the era. Most of these songs were later re-recorded and released officially on Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols, so you can hear them here in an earlier, less polished form. It is a useful listen for anyone curious about how the band sounded before the final versions took shape, and for hearing the Matlock line-up on tape.
