The Swindle Continues
The Swindle Continues is a 1988 compilation released through Restless Records, and it sits in an odd corner of the Sex Pistols story. Half of it is Sex Pistols material and half comes from the Ex Pistols, the first album under that name. It is the only Ex Pistols release that doesn't pass itself off as the work of the Sex Pistols.
The Ex Pistols tracks here all turned up later on their Deny album. The exceptions are the title track, "The Swindle Continues", which appears only here, and "Sex On 45", a compilation of Sex Pistols music. There are also two Steve Jones and Paul Cook demo recordings, "Here We Go Again" and "Silly Thing". It is one for completists who want the odder footnotes of the band's legacy.
