Hadeon
Hadeon is the eighth studio album by Dutch death metal band Pestilence, released in January 2018 on Hammerheart Records. It arrived after the band's two-year hiatus, which ran from 2014 to 2016, so it marks their return to recording following Obsideo in 2013.
It is also a record of change in the line-up. This is the first Pestilence album since their 1988 debut, Malleus Maleficarum, without longtime lead and rhythm guitarist Patrick Uterwijk. The digital edition appeared nearly two months ahead of schedule, with the physical release following in March. For anyone who has followed the band from their late-80s and early-90s records through their return in 2009, Hadeon is the album that shows how they sounded once they were back from the break and working without a long-standing guitarist.
