EP
The Def Leppard E.P.
The Def Leppard E.P. was the English band's first release, put out on their own Bludgeon Riffola label. It was recorded in November 1978 at Fairview Studios in Hull and produced by the band themselves. The first pressing carried a red label and the code SRT CUS 232.
The sleeve gives a cheeky twist to the His Master's Voice painting, with a leopard sitting where Nipper the dog should be. It arrived before their 1980 debut album, On Through the Night, so it catches Def Leppard at the very start, making records on their own terms.
